Tea Tree Oil: Benefits and Uses for it

Used for many years by the Aboriginal tribes in Australia, tea tree oil has only recently become a main staple in American households. Distilled from the leaves of the plant Melaleuca alternifolia, a plant that is only native to Australia, tea tree oil is one of the best essential oils that can be used all around the house. Overall, tea tree oil is a great product to have in your beauty arsenal.

Take care of acne and other skin problems:

Known for its antibacterial properties, tea tree oil is great to add to your beauty routine when you have a breakout. Add one drop of tea tree oil to a slightly dampened cotton ball and apply it to problem areas before washing your face with lukewarm water. Tea tree oil will reduce the amount of oil that is on your skin, which leads to blemishes.

Up your mani/pedi game:

If you are having problems with cracked nails or your cuticles are giving you issues, use tea tree oil! Add a few drops of the oil to either manicurist spray or cuticle cream and massage into your nails. This will strengthen your nails, keeping them from breaking, especially during the cold winter months.

Cleanse your hair:

Is your hair dull and lifeless? This might be a sign of product buildup; all of the products that you are putting into your hair on a regular basis can build up, leaving your hair dull and hard to manage. Instead of reaching for a harsh clarifying shampoo that strips moisture out of your hair, use tea tree oil! Simply add a few drops into your favorite shampoo and wash. Tea tree oil will break up the excess product and hair oil, leaving your hair shiny and easily manageable.

Cure bad breathe:

If you’re a smoker, or just have a problem with bad breath, tea tree oil is the best way to get rid of it! After brushing your teeth, add a few drops of tea tree oil to a small amount of water and swish, just like you would alcohol-based mouthwashes for better, fresher breath.
There are many uses for tea tree oil that can make your life better and more natural. Instead of filling your body with chemicals that might hurt you in the long run.

With love,

Aeveka
