Fruit Waters to Entice and Hydrate

As organic, all-natural diets become more trendy, so does the recommendation of drinking more water. But let’s be honest, water is boring. It’s literally two hydrogen molecules and one little oxygen molecule. A very plain chemical sandwich.

But you can add some condiments to make it the cheeseburger of hydration! Here are some ways to make your water taste better and improve its health benefits. Specifically: FRUIT!

Fruit Waters to Entice and Hydrate

Many of the benefits of fruit-infused water include:

  • Good hydration
  • Improving complexion
  • Helping kidneys function better
  • Aiding weight loss
  • Maintaining energy levels
  • Essential vitamins

How to make fruit-infused water:

  1. Slice fruit into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a pitcher that is roughly one liter, place the fruits in the bottom and cover to the top with ice.
  3. Pour roughly one cup of water into the pitcher and add the lid.
  4. Let the water sit in the refrigerator for anywhere from 30 minutes to 24 hours (depending on how strong you want the flavors to be.)

If you are ready to give fruit-infused water a try, here are a few ideas to get you started:

Orange, lemon and ginger:

Oranges increase healthy blood circulation. Lemons help with digestion and freshen breath. Ginger promotes a strong immune system.

Cucumber, raspberry and grape:

Cucumbers are known to be hydrating, which, when added to water, can help your skin look healthier and more youthful. Raspberries contain anti-inflammatory properties, and grapes are cancer preventers.

Rhubarb, apple and cinnamon:

Rhubarb’s main vitamin is K, which helps reverse blood thinning (often a side effect of medication.) Apples which are rich in fiber and antioxidants offer extensive health benefits. Cinnamon is an excellent metabolism booster and also keeps blood sugar balanced.

Strawberry-lime:

The strawberry-lime combo packs a punch with multiple antioxidants that can restore brittle nails and hair, as well as tired-looking skin.

Pineapple-Mint:

Pineapples are great anti-inflammatories. This relieves joint pain as well as chronic arthritis. Mint supports the digestive system, and calms an upset stomach.

Water is great to hydrate your skin, as well as helps your skin look more dewy and youthful. To enhance this look and fight harmful free-radicals that can accelerate skin aging, use Aeveka’s skincare products: vegan, organic ingredients, all-natural and paraben free, and absolutely not animal-tested.

With love,
